About three-quarters of an inch of rain fell at Wilkes-Barre/Scranton International Airport from Wednesday night through 3 p.m. Thursday, according to the National Weather Service office at Binghamton, New York. Friday shouldn’t be as rainy, with showers most likely in the morning and a high of 52, but it will hardly be ideal weather for trick-or-treating. The NWS has issued a wind advisory from 11 a.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday, with west winds of 15-25 mph and gusts of 45-50 mph expected. The weekend should be a little better: AccuWeather is predicting a breezy Saturday with low clouds and a high of 51, and a partly sunny Sunday with a high of 54.
