A man was killed and his wife was seriously injured after high winds and falling trees struck their tent while they were camping in North East.
Officials said two large trees fell on the couple around 8:45 a.m. in the area of Middle Road and Harztzell Road.
The couple was visiting from Endeavor, Pa.
The 47-year-old man was killed. His wife was taken to UPMC Hamot with serious injuries.
Pennsylvania State Police and the Erie County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
