BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Property taxes will likely not be going up next year for Bethlehem residents.

Mayor J. William Reynolds presented Thursday his proposed 2026 budget for the city.

The 112-million-dollar spending plan does not include a tax hike, but it does include investment in public safety.

Reynolds is seeking a 3% increase in salaries for police and firefighters and to spend 4.1 million dollars on new vehicles for those departments.

He said the city has also been “aggressively” paying off its debt since 2015.
