ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police have arrested an Allentown man accused of stabbing a woman multiple times during a domestic incident Monday afternoon.
According to a press release from Allentown Police, officers were called around 2:34 p.m. to the 700 block of Saint John’s Street for a reported stabbing.

Investigators say they determined the attack was domestic in nature.
Police identified the suspect as 43‑year‑old Amir Whitehurst, who they say stabbed a 49‑year‑old woman several times. The victim was rushed to the hospital and is listed in critical but stable condition, authorities said.

Whitehurst is now charged with attempted homicide, endangering the welfare of a child, and other related offenses, according to police.
