After changing its name last year from Boutique at the Rink, the cancer charity event Boutique for Hope is ready to kick off its 50th annual sale of new and gently used items this week in the Lehigh Valley.

The event will premiere 3-8 p.m. Tuesday and go through Saturday at the St. Luke’s property at 3801 Brookside Road in Lower Macungie Township, its website announced. It accepted donations earlier this month for items such as clothing, shoes, jewelry, toys, sports equipment, small appliances and antiques.

Spouses of Bethlehem Steel employees started the event in 1974. Until last year’s change, it operated at the Earl E. Schaffer Bethlehem Municipal Ice Rink at 345 Illick’s Mill Road in Bethlehem.

The 2025 sale raised $230,768.17, the event website said, benefitting Cancer Support Community of the Greater Lehigh Valley, St. Luke’s Cancer Center and St. Luke’s Hospice.
