James P. Liparulo

OBITUARY

James P. Liparulo, 69, of Jermyn, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, May 23, 2026. His beloved wife of nearly 50 years is the former Karen Kutch.

Born in Peckville, he was the son of the late Joseph and Mary Altier Liparulo. Jim attended Valley View High School.

Jim had a particular passion for anything with a motor that began at a young age. He was always tinkering with something and could fix anything. He was talented at just about everything he did but found even greater joy in sharing those skills with others. Jim was a humble man, a man of few words, but you always knew how he felt.

Nothing brought him more joy than time spent with his family. He especially loved spending time with his wife, family dinners, rides on the side-by-side, and being surrounded by his daughters and grandchildren. He could often be found proudly watching his grandson, Enzo, play sports, and spending time with his granddaughter, Gianna. He also enjoyed going to the diner and having a coffee with his buddies.

In addition to his wife, Jim is survived by his daughters, Krista (Christopher) DiRienzo and Katie (Christopher) Fratamico; his beloved grandchildren, Gianna Mary DiRienzo and Enzo James Fratamico; his brother, Joseph (Kim) Liparulo; his sisters, Maria Liparulo and Beth (TJ) Maxwell; his nieces, Evalyn and Audrey Maxwell; his goddaughter, Sarah Ridder; and countless other nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his in-laws, Paul and Sally Kutch, and one niece, Vivian Helene Maxwell.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, May 28, at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Roman Catholic Church, 1101 Willow St., Peckville. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the start of Mass at the church.

The family would like to thank Dr. Lisa Thomas and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for their compassionate care.
