SALISBURY TOWNSHIP, Pa. – An intersection in Lehigh County is closed until further notice on Wednesday due to a police incident.
Salisbury Township Police have the intersection of Route 145 and South 4th Street closed until further notice due to a police incident in the area of South Pike Avenue, according to county dispatchers.
Dispatchers say that police will be on the scene for an extended period of time.
A photo from the scene shows a U-Haul trailer that struck a utility pole. Police have closed the road while crews assess the stability of the pole and its wires.
Drivers are asked to avoid the area of Route 145, South 4th Street, and East Rock Road, and to take West Rock Road, or Route 145 to 309 South, to I-78 as a detour.
