CATASAUQUA, Pa. – Preliminary hearings were continued for father and son Matthew Pletz and Jack Pletz.
The two are accused of throwing an explosive device from a pickup truck near an Election Day polling place at the Salem United Church of Christ in Catasauqua.
State Police said a device exploded a block and a half away from the polling place.
Investigators said they found 17 other explosive devices in the truck.
According to the District Attorney, there is no evidence so far suggesting this was related to the election.
Investigators said nobody was injured.
The District Attorney said Matthew Pletz was arrested the day an explosive device was thrown.
Authorities said Jack Pletz surrendered to State Police later that week.
Jack Pletz is out on bail and Matthew Pletz is being held at the Lehigh County Jail.
The father and son both face a list of charges.
