Food Collection Drive to Benefit the Erie City Mission

Scott Enterprises, an Erie-based, family-owned hospitality company, has launched its Plate It Forward campaign, a property-wide food drive to benefit the Erie City Mission, which serves the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of men, women, youth, and families in the city of Erie.

The Plate It Forward initiative is part of Scott Enterprises’ Scott’s Promise to Care campaign, a company-wide commitment to giving back to its community and employees.

Those who bring a nonperishable food item to any Scott Enterprises location will be entered to win four Splash Lagoon passes. Each donated item counts as one entry. For a list of Scott Enterprises locations, visit www.visitscott.com.

“We’re proud to partner with the Erie City Mission and help support local families in need,” said Nick Scott Jr., vice president of Scott Enterprises. “Our community has always supported us, and Plate It Forward is one way we can return that kindness.”

The collection drive will run through November 14, with donations supporting the Erie City Mission’s food pantry and men’s, women’s, and youth ministries.

“We are incredibly grateful for Scott Enterprises’ commitment to fighting hunger in our community,” shared Elijah Chadsey, food service manager for the Erie City Mission. “Partnerships like this are essential to our mission–they don’t just provide resources, they show our neighbors that the entire community stands behind them. This food drive will help us provide nutritious meals to more men, women, and children when the need is greatest. Scott Enterprises’ generosity will make a real difference for those who depend on us throughout the holiday season.”
