Disability Resource Fair planned for Saturday at Viewmont Mall

SCRANTON

The Lackawanna County Disability Action Committee is sponsoring a Disability Resource Fair on Saturday at the Viewmont Mall.

Running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the fair will feature businesses, nonprofit agencies and volunteer/support groups that enhance the lives of people with disabilities. Representatives from the participating organizations will provide information about their services and programs.

The Disability Action Committee, meanwhile, is an advisory body comprised of a majority of people with disabilities. Its mission is to promote increased accessibility in county facilities, businesses, parks, transportation and other entities to create a more inclusive community.
