MOOSIC, LACKAWANNA COUNTY (WBRE/WYOU) — Friday night, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders fell to the Worcester Red Sox 6-5 in Game Four of this six-game home stand. Despite three ties and four lead changes, the Railriders failed to get the job done, losing their fourth straight game to Worcester.
The Railriders got on the board first in the bottom of the first as Tyler Hardman grounded out on a hit to left center. This allowed George Lombard Jr. to score, giving the Railriders the early 1-0 lead.

The Red Sox responded with three runs in the top of the third. Two of those three came from a two-run homer by Mikey Romero to give Worcester the 3-1 lead.
Scranton/Wilkes-Barre tied the game in the bottom of the third as Hardman doubled on a sharp fly ball to left field, which allowed two runs to score, making it a 3-3 ball game.
The Red Sox would add on another two runs in the top of the fourth to give them a 5-3 lead. However, the Railriders would cut that lead to one in the bottom of the fourth with a solo home run from Ernesto Martinez.
The Railriders tied the game at five in the bottom of the seventh with a home run by Spencer Jones. However, the Red Sox scored one more in the top of the 8th to retake the lead, making it a 6-5 Worcester ball game, and that would be the final score.

The Railriders will look to end their four-game losing streak against Worcester as the two teams face off again tomorrow. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m. at PNC Field.
