ALLENTOWN, Pa. — More than a dozen girls came out to the Queen City Airport to learn all about flying Saturday.

The Keystone Chapter 99s were set up to help show off all the different branches you could take in an aviation career.

From piloting, to navigating, flight attendants and technicians — girls in attendance got a full look at all they could do.

“We are still at less than 6% of female pilots in the commercial airline industry so we have a lot of opportunity to mentor these young ladies into a fulfilling career,” said Rosanne Stencil-Johnson of the chapter.

Organizers went on to say they hope their outreach efforts continue to light the flame for the next generation of women in aviation.
