The City of Erie is launching a new initiative called Civic Dialogues in partnership with Change.org

Like the name entails, Civic Dialogues aim to engage the erie community in constructive conversations about Erie’s future through an accessible online website.

Over the course of eight weeks, Change.org will first accept civic input and from that, they will coordinate group sessions, reflective of the city’s demographics, to attend a live discussion.

And they are encouraging erie residents to submit their ideas on how to improve the city.

“The first four to five weeks, you’re able to vote on ideas that have been submitted by your fellow residents,” said Tori Williams, the mayor’s office community affairs coordinator. “Every resident of the city of Erie should go to this website for Change.org and make sure that they share what recommendations that they have to make Erie a better place. We know there’s wonderful ideas out there for our residents to share their great feedback about how we could make Erie a more positive or a more bustling city- you name it.”
