TURNPIKE OFFICIALS SAY THEY WANT TO FINISH IMPLEMENTING THE ENTIRE SYSTEM STATEWIDE BY 2027. NOW, THIS DOES MEAN A CHANGE IN HOW IT WILL CALCULATE TOLLS. The Pennsylvania Turnpike’s open road tolling project is moving closer to the Pittsburgh area.The turnpike says toll gantries are being built between Breezewood (Exit 161) and Willow Hill (Exit 189).The project started on the eastern side of the state.
