A 20-year-old was taken into custody Wednesday after police said he spent more than two years on the run following shooting that killed a teen and injured another. Allegheny County police said Darien Wallace, 20, was taken into custody in Trafford, Westmoreland County Wednesday night. Wallace was wanted in connection with a double shooting in Braddock in April of 2024. He was charged on April 4, 2024, with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and illegal possession of a firearm. As a result of the shooting, 16-year-old Jeramyah Pollard was killed, and another teen was injured.Detectives received information that Wallace was inside a home in the 500 block of West Inwood Road. SWAT officials surrounded the home and took him into custody at 6:30 p.m. An AR-style pistol, ammunition, and multiple magazines were found inside the home at the time the arrest was made. A 20-year-old was taken into custody Wednesday after police said he spent more than two years on the run following shooting that killed a teen and injured another.

Allegheny County police said Darien Wallace, 20, was taken into custody in Trafford, Westmoreland County Wednesday night.

Wallace was wanted in connection with a double shooting in Braddock in April of 2024. He was charged on April 4, 2024, with criminal homicide, aggravated assault, and illegal possession of a firearm.

As a result of the shooting, 16-year-old Jeramyah Pollard was killed, and another teen was injured.

Detectives received information that Wallace was inside a home in the 500 block of West Inwood Road. SWAT officials surrounded the home and took him into custody at 6:30 p.m.

An AR-style pistol, ammunition, and multiple magazines were found inside the home at the time the arrest was made.

Wallace was taken to the Allegheny County Jail pending preliminary arraignment.
