SHILLINGTON BORO., Pa. – A workplace accident in Shillington on Wednesday turned fatal, the Berks County coroner says.
Emergency dispatchers say they received a call Wednesday at 9:47 a.m. for a man who fell from scaffolding while working at a job site in the borough. The individual was taken to Reading Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 11:11 a.m.
The coroner’s office says the man has been identified as a 47-year-old resident of Kutztown Borough.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
