CATASAUQUA BOROUGH, Pa. – Officials in Catasauqua say recent vandalism is having a direct impact on the borough’s Kids’ Summer Program.
Supplies for the program have been destroyed, and with it set to begin June 15, officials say there is very little time to replace the items that were lost.
The Kids’ Summer Program is free and offered to children entering 1st through 6th grade, with the only cost to families being occasional optional field trips.
Officials are asking for donations from the community to help restock supplies quickly so the borough can continue offering a fun, safe, and engaging program at no cost to participating families.
They are currently seeking donations of kid-friendly supplies, games, and activities. Helpful items include construction paper, markers, crayons, glue sticks, scissors, stickers, coloring books, craft kits, jump ropes, hula hoops, board games, and other age-appropriate games or activities.
Anyone interested in donating may drop items off at the borough office, located at 90 Bridge Street, Monday through Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:50 p.m.
