The ceremony is scheduled for Tuesday, June 16, at 1 p.m. at the center, located at 2859 College Drive, Cedar Crest College announced.

Dr. Elizabeth Meade, president of Cedar Crest College, and Dr. Robert A. Wilson, provost and vice president for academic affairs, will give brief remarks.

The project is funded by a gift from the estate of alumna Elaine Oberkotter Harmon ’59 and her husband, John. According to Cedar Crest College, the center is intended to help students build technology skills while also developing leadership, critical thinking, and ethical decision-making.

The Harmon Center will also work with Lehigh Valley businesses and organizations on technology strategy. Earlier this spring, its Tech & Talent Summit, held with ADVANCE by Cedar Crest, brought industry and academic leaders together to discuss workforce technology needs and skills gaps in the Lehigh Valley and beyond.

The center has established new undergraduate majors in Cybersecurity, Data Science, and Computer Science, along with Applied AI integration, which launched in Fall 2025.

The programs are available to traditional undergraduate students in the College for women and learners in the coeducational School of Adult and Graduate Education.
