Grow Erie, Second Harvest partner up to bring fresh produce to community
Grow Erie and the Second Harvest Foodbank announced a partnership to deliver fresh, locally grown produce to the community.
Through this collaboration, the Second Harvest Food Bank will provide neighbors in need with fresh lettuce grown by Grow Erie.
North East shop helps raise money for water safety
Grow Erie uses a hydroponic system to produce fresh crops year-round. Those involved in this initiative said it took a team effort and it will benefit the region for years to come
“I never worked on a farm before; this is my first time working. But I’m very happy that people are gonna benefit from it,” said Adey ali, the Grow Erie greenhouse manager.
The president of Grow Erie said this partnership will help them achieve their goal of creating a healthier community
