Anita D. Evans, 31, of Sweet Valley, Pa., according to the release, has been charged with burglary in the second degree, a class C felony, burglary in the third degree, a class D felony and grand larceny in the third degree, a class D felony.

Officials say they were sent to a residence in Baldwin on a burglary report in the home and garage. After the investigation, officials found that Evans had entered and stolen belongings from the residence and garage on the property multiple times while the owner was not home.
After a warrant was obtained on May 1, the release states that officials worked with police agencies in Pennsylvania and North Carolina to determine that Evans had left New York and was actively traveling through North Carolina. Evans was taken into custody in Monroe, North Carolina, where the release says she was then sent to the Union County Jail.

After being brought back to New York, the release says that offiials found that Evans had a bench warrant from the Elmira City Court for criminal possession of a controlled substance in the seventh degree and she has a fugitive from justice warrant from the Bradford County Sheriff’s Office for a petition to revoke parole with a lead offense of aggrivated assault.
The release states that Evans was then arrested and processed in the Town of Ashland Court for the grand larceny and burglary charges, she was then sent to the Chemung County Jail and will appear in multiple different courts at a later date.
