SYRACUSE, N.Y. (KTRE) — Former Central Heights Blue Devil Duke Ellis hit a home run in Scranton’s 4-0 win over Syracuse on Friday.
Batting eighth and starting in center field, the 28-year-old batted 2-for-4 with two RBIs and a run.
Ellis hit a one-run, two-out triple in the second inning and a solo home run in the fifth inning.
Through 40 games this season, Ellis has two home runs, three triples, nine RBIs and a .248 batting average.
Scranton-Wilkes-Barre (31-29) is in fifth place in the International League East. The RailRiders host Lehigh Valley on Tuesday at 6:05 p.m.
