The Everhart Museum will celebrate the beauty of art, nature, and community during Everhart in Bloom Week, taking place Wednesday, June 17, through Sunday, June 21. The five-day celebration features a series of special events and exhibitions leading up to the fifth annual Electric City Flower Show in Nay Aug Park on Saturday, June 20.
Throughout the week, visitors can experience Art in Bloom, an exhibition pairing selected works from the Museum’s collection with floral interpretations created by regional artists and designers.
The adult arts and crafts series Crafty Hour will return from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday, June 18, as Craft & Bloom: An Evening Garden Experience. Inspired by the works of NEPA painter and silkscreen artist Jon Carsman, the event invites guests to explore a series of hands-on creative stations within a garden setting. The evening is complemented by music from the DJ duo Cowgirl Pills. Registration is required.
The Flower Power Happy Hour will take place from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 19, on the Museum’s front lawn. This summer kickoff celebration features drinks by Groove Brewing, food by Harvest Seasonal Grill, and live music by Marko Marcinko’s Latin Jazz Quintet. Registration is required.
The centerpiece of the week is the fifth annual Electric City Flower Show, taking place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 20, in Nay Aug Park. This free, family-friendly community event showcases stunning floral competition entries and botanical displays submitted by local gardeners and enthusiasts. Throughout the park, there will be a variety of vendors and food merchants.
During the flower show on Saturday, June 20, the museum presents Everhart in Bloom Community Day, featuring free museum admission from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and complimentary activities and entertainment from noon to 4 p.m. Guests are invited to explore the museum, enjoy family-friendly activities, view demonstrations, and more.
