BETHLEHEM, Pa. – ArtsQuest says this year’s Musikfest mug will be included in a time capsule set to be sealed later this year and opened in 2076.
The mug will feature the official 2026 poster artwork by Doug Boehm, which celebrates the nation’s 250th anniversary with a central theme “Music Unites,” according to a news release from ArtsQuest.
This year’s mug was selected for inclusion in the Made in Lehigh Valley Time Capsule, a regional initiative led by the Lehigh Valley Economic Development Corporation, the National Museum of Industrial History, and Discover Lehigh Valley, ArtsQuest says.
ArtsQuest says the artifact will preserve artifacts that tell the story of the Lehigh Valley’s culture, innovation and community spirit.
The time capsule will be sealed later this year and remain closed until 2076 in celebration of the nation’s 300th birthday, according to ArtsQuest.
ArtsQuest says the time capsule will offer a glimpse into what defined the Lehigh Valley in 2026.
Artist Doug Boehm also designed the 2020 Musikfest poster artwork, ArtsQuest says.
“His artwork captures the spirit of Musikfest while highlighting the way music brings people together during this historic moment,” ArtsQuest says.
ArtsQuest says fans purchase the mugs each year to enjoy discounted beer refills at official festival tents and participating bars and restaurants, reduce single-use cup waste throughout the festival, and add to their collection of annual mug designs.
Proceeds from mug sales help fund free and accessible arts, culture, and educational programming throughout the year, ArtsQuest says in its news release.

Mugs can be purchased online or in person at the ArtsQuest Center Box Office or Palette & Pour and the Bethlehem Visitor Center presented by Lehigh Valley Health Network, part of Jefferson Health.
