WHITEHALL TWP., Pa. – Lehigh County seniors met special members of the Pennsylvania State Police Tuesday.
PSP horses Bo and Chip visited Fellowship Community retirement home in Whitehall Township.
Mounted troopers talked about why they’re important to the force.
They said the horses help with crowd control at big events, like the upcoming FIFA World Cup games in Philly.
Organizers said the residents enjoy visits like this.
“It’s a nice visit. They learn things that they didn’t know, and they have the utmost respect for our community, the people that serve,” says Kim Cseh, activities director at Fellowship Community.
The residents will see the troopers again later this year.
They’ll bring Christmas treats to the barracks as a thank-you for everything they do.
