MOOSIC, PA (WBRE/WYOU) — Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders P Brendan Beck was named the International League Pitcher of the Week for June 1-7. This is the second time Beck has won the award this season.
Beck pitched seven no-hit innings on the road against the Syracuse Mets on Friday, June 5. The Yankee prospect struck out six Mets and gave up three walks. Beck was replaced after seven innings and 93 pitches.
Reliver Carson Coleman pitched two hitless innings. He retired the side in order in the eighth and ended the game with a double play.
This marked the team’s first no-hitter since 2021 and the seventh in franchise history.
