• West Lawn United Methodist Church will welcome neighbors to its Raffauf Community Center, 101 Woodside Ave., West Lawn, on Sunday and then every Sunday through March 29, 2026, for free community breakfasts. The gatherings aim to provide both nourishment and connection, inviting residents to share a meal, meet new people and share conversation over pancakes and coffee. Parking is available in adjacent lots and along Noble and Woodside Streets. The breakfasts will be served from 9 to 11 a.m. and will feature pancakes, sausage and hot and cold beverages prepared and served by a team of more than 60 volunteers from the West Lawn UMC congregation.

• Advent Lutheran Church, 16 Telford Ave., West Lawn,will present its final concert in the 100th anniversary series on Sunday at 3 p.m. The Reading Choral Society Chamber Choir will present a program of musical theater and vocal jazz standards. The concert is free.

• Henry B. Smith Jr., staff researcher at the Associates for Biblical Research, administrator for the Shiloh dig and host for the TV show “Digging for Truth,” will be the guest speaker for the Fall Bible Conference on Nov. 9 at Open Bible Baptist Church, 10 Park Lane, Lower Alsace Township. The theme for the conference will be “Archaeology and Apologetics: How a Study of the Past Proves the Truth of the Bible”. There will be four sessions throughout the day: 9:30 a.m., 10:45 a.m. (main service), 1 p.m. and 2 p.m., with lunch immediately following the 10:45 service.

• St. Paul’s United Church of Christ Guild, 5 W. Arch St., Fleetwood, is having its annual Christmas bazaar next Saturday from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Homemade food and baked goods, toy and book room, crafters, vendors, silent auction. Admission is free.

• St. Michael’s Church, 529 St. Michael’s Road, Tilden Township, is having a holiday baked goods sale and basket raffle on Nov. 14 from 4-8 p.m. and Nov. 15 from 7 a.m.-noon.

• Christ Lutheran Church, 222 Niantic Road, Douglass Township, Montgomery County, will have Coffee and Conversation on Sunday at 8:30 and 10 a.m. in the Welcome Center. Brown bag Bible study will be held on Wednesday at noon in the Welcome Center.

• Nativity Lutheran Church, 1501 N. 13th St., Reading, will have Election Eats on Tuesday from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Various homemade soups, sandwiches, sides and desserts will be available for grab-n-go purchase throughout the day. To place a larger order, call 610-374.3230.

• St. John’s Reformed Church, 4001 Penn Ave., Sinking Spring, will hold a basket raffle today from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. There will be dozens of baskets and other items in the raffle as well as other prizes. Additionally, there will be food and baked goods for sale. The fundraising event will be held in the church Fellowship Hall (lower level). Parking is behind the church or across the street at the corner of Penn Avenue and South Hull Street.

• The congregation of Salem Lutheran Church, 8410 Lancaster Ave., Bethel Township, will  welcome the Rev. Kenneth Gould as its supply pastor for the 9:30 a.m. worship service on Sunday. Fellowship time with refreshments will be held in the multi-purpose hall after the service.

• St. John’s Gernant’s Church (A Federated Congregation), 13 Gernant’s Church Road, Ontelaunee Township, will worship Sunday at 9:30 a.m. in the sanctuary. The service will be All Saint’s Day. Candles will be lit in memory of loved ones who have died this year. You are also welcome to light a candle for a family member or friend who has died at any time. Fellowship will follow the service in the Sunday School room.

• Salem Belleman’s Church, 3540 Belleman’s Church Road, Centre Township, will hold its annual Christmas bazaar in the Fellowship Hall on Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. and next Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The event features a variety of food items available for breakfast, lunch and dinner. There will be a items for sale including other foods, candies, crafts and pastries. There also will be an extensive flea market in the basement.

• Zion Moselem Lutheran Church, 340 Moselem Church Road, Richmond Township, will hold a yard sale today from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. The service on Sunday will observe All Saints Day with everyone invited to come to the altar to light a candle in honor of a loved one who has died.

• Hannah Gelsinger will present her senior recital on flute and piccolo on Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. at St. John’s (Hain’s) United Church of Christ, 591 N. Church Road, Lower Heidelberg Township.

• United Church of Christ of Robesonia, 301 W. Penn Ave., will continue to collect money for Church World Service blankets through Nov. 9. • The Reading Pennsylvania Stake of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be hosting a stake conference today and Sunday. A stake is comparable to an archdiocese within the Roman Catholic Church. The Reading Stake will host Elder Robert M. Daines, who serves within the church as a General Authority Seventy. The first session will be today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. for adults, ages 18 on up at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 3344 Reading Crest Ave., Muhlenberg Township. The general session for all ages will be on Sunday from 10 a.m. to noon at Muhlenberg High School, 400 Sharp Ave, Laureldale.
