If you’re looking for a new four-legged friend, you’re in luck!
Pennsylvania SPCA is waiving adoption fees for dogs looking for a fresh start Thursday, June 11, through Sunday, June 14, at its Philadelphia headquarters and Main Line Animal Rescue sites.
Officials said dogs eligible for the fee-waived event have been available for adoption for 30 days or longer but have yet to find their forever homes.
This four-day event is part of Freshpet’s Fresh Starts adoption program, which helps connect shelter dogs with new families.
“These dogs are ready for their next chapter, and this extended adoption event is dedicated to helping them find it,” the PSPCA wrote.
The event also helps commemorate the PSPCA’s upcoming 159th birthday.
Organizers said standard adoption processes and some fees may apply, including a licensing fee for Philadelphia residents.
