The 14-year-old from Emmaus was pronounced dead at St. Luke’s University Hospital-Bethlehem at 3:33 a.m. on Friday, June 12, according to Lehigh County Coroner Daniel A. Buglio.

Her death was caused by complications of drowning, and the manner of death was ruled accidental, the coroner said.

The drowning happened at a private residential swimming pool at a home in Allentown around 5:35 p.m. on Saturday, June 6, according to the release.

The girl’s identity has not been released because she is a juvenile, the coroner explained.

The Allentown Police Department, Lehigh County District Attorney’s Office, and Lehigh County Coroner’s Office are investigating.
