The Erie SeaWolves are unveiling a new look on Friday night as they take the field for the first time as the Flagship City Kitties.
The alternate identity celebrates the SeaWolves’ 25th season as the Double-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers.

The Kitties are a nod to the young Tigers prospects who begin their journey to the major leagues right here in Erie.
Players will wear special navy and orange uniforms featuring a fierce kitty logo and tiger-inspired design elements.
“We’re celebrating 25 seasons as the Detroit Tigers’ Double-A affiliate, so what’s a better way to commemorate that than an alternate identity? So, since they are the Tigers, we are the baby tigers, we’re the Kitties,” said Laina Banic, director of marketing for the Erie SeaWolves.
The SeaWolves host Akron on Friday night, and fans can catch the Flagship City Kitties on Saturday before the alternate identity returns for two more games in August.
