A sure sign of summer’s arrival in Erie is the return of local farmers markets, and shoppers were out enjoying the season on Saturday as the LEAF Open Market made its return to Frontier Park.
Visitors browsed a variety of vendors offering baked goods, handmade crafts, beverages, jewelry, and other locally made products.
One vendor said this is their first year participating in the LEAF Open Market after several years in business. They chose to join the market to expand their reach and introduce their products to a wider audience.
The weekly market is designed to connect local artisans, makers, and food vendors with the community throughout the summer months.
The LEAF Open Market takes place every Saturday at Frontier Park on the West Eighth Street side from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. during the summer season.
