The Luzerne County Transportation Authority (LCTA) is advising passengers of temporary service adjustments to the Route 17 Scranton route on Monday and Tuesday.
Due to the significant influx of visitors to Scranton for the Big Boy Reunion, the three middle trips operating each day will use PNC Field’s parking lot as their temporary endpoint rather than the Lackawanna Transit Center in downtown Scranton.
The affected trips depart the James F. Conahan Intermodal Transit Center at 9 and 11:20 a.m., and 1:40 p.m.
Passengers traveling on these three trips will be provided transportation between PNC Field and the Lackawanna Transit Center via a free connecting bus service either through COLTS or LCTA.
The first and last Route 17 trips of the day will NOT be affected and will service the Lackawanna Transit Center as they normally do.
The unaffected trips are: the 6:40 a.m. departure from the James F. Conahan Intermodal Transit Center, arriving at the Lackawanna Transit Center at 7:45 a.m.; and the 3:40 p.m. departure from Luzerne County, arriving at the Lackawanna Transit Center at 5:04 p.m.
