EASTON, Pa. – The body of a 45-year-old man was recovered from the Delaware River in Easton Sunday night, Stan Brown from PA Water Rescue told 69 News.
Brown said the body was recovered between the Route 22 and Easton-Phillipsburg Free Bridge.
He did not release any further details.
The news comes after search and rescue crews were in the Delaware River for hours on Sunday looking for a lost person.
Calls came in around 2:10 p.m. for a person who went under the water in Easton and hadn’t been seen in about 20 to 30 minutes.
We know at this point they were not wearing a life vest.
Crews searched up and down the river and eventually dive teams and a helicopter were brought in.
