The newly refurbished Bicentennial Eagle sculpture was reinstalled at the Berks County Heritage Center on Tuesday ahead of the country’s 250th birthday.
The sculpture was originally cast and assembled by students in 1976 to commemorate the 200th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.
Artist Mike Miller collaborated with students at the Reading Muhlenberg Career & Technology Center and the county parks and recreation department to repaint and reinstall the sculpture in the courtyard next to the barn with a new public art mural.
