The Manayunk Art Festival is back this month, and everyone is invited to join in on the tri-state area’s largest outdoor juried arts experience.

Set for Saturday, June 27 (11 a.m. to 7 p.m.), and Sunday, June 28, (11 a.m. to 5 p.m.), Main Street Manayunk will once again host an outdoor gallery, with around 300 local and nationally recognized artists and craftspeople in attendance. Now in its 37th year, the festival attracts more than 100,000 collectors, buyers, designers, and art enthusiasts annually.

While there, visitors can explore a unique variety of fine art and handmade crafts alongside food and beverage vendors, merchant specials, live art demonstrations, and interactive experiences. This year, the Manayunk Arts Festival is embracing “a fresh energy designed to engage younger audiences and introduce new voices to the creative community” with the addition of student art sales from Baby Face Studios, an Emerging Artists Tent showcasing rising talent, and unique pop-up experiences like the Funk Shop by Lucky’s Last Chance.

The free, rain-or-shine Festival will showcase artists working across disciplines like ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, mixed media, painting/drawing, photography, wood and sculpture.

A signature component every year of the festival is the Emerging Artist Program, which provides a platform for up-and-coming local talent to exhibit and sell their work. In 2026, 30 emerging artists will be featured in a dedicated area along Grape Street, offering festivalgoers the opportunity to discover “the next generation of creative voices.” The program serves as a stepping stone for artists, helping them build their presence before advancing to the main festival in future years.

The 2026 festival will also spotlight Manayunk-based artist Ryanne Bonde as this year’s featured artist. A figurative oil painter and portraitist, Bonde’s work has been selected for the festival’s posters, billboards, and digital marketing campaign. Her featured painting, inspired by Andrew Wyeth’s ‘Christina’s World’, explores themes of disability, representation, and human experience. In tribute to the semiquincentennial celebration, more than 50 Main Street businesses will additionally display 250 flags throughout the summer, adding to the already patriotic celebrations throughout the city.

One of the weekend’s headline attractions is Carrera’s “Paint My Ride” Tour, a live art competition celebrating the brand’s 70th anniversary. During the event, Philadelphia artists Jenna Morello and Alloyius McIlwaine will transform a vintage Carrera vehicle in real time, with festivalgoers helping select the winning design. The activation also includes giveaways of Carrera’s signature sunglasses through Manayunk’s social media channels.

Festivalgoers can also become artists themselves at the “Be Your Own Artist” activation in Canal View Park, where local artist Aaron Birk of Aquaria Studio will guide visitors (all ages are welcome) through hands-on artmaking activities. The fest will also feature pottery wheel demonstrations, opportunities for children to try wheel throwing, and a community art project that invites attendees to paint directly onto a large ceramic vessel, which will later be glazed and permanently displayed as a commemorative piece.

Throughout the weekend, attendees can enjoy complimentary product sampling and special activations from festival sponsors as well. New this year, the Arts Loop shuttle will also make navigating the festival easier than ever: The continuous route connects complimentary parking locations in Bala Cynwyd and at Ivy Ridge Station with multiple stops throughout the district, allowing visitors to explore Main Street at their own pace. Festival organizers also encourage guests to take advantage of SEPTA’s Manayunk-Norristown Line and bus service for access to the event.
