On June 3, 2026, State Police assigned to the Troop G Community Stabilization Unit in partnership with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested Robert C. Davis, 39, of Troy, NY, Freddie J. Fields, 45, of Albany, NY, and Terrell C. Welcome, 36, of Schenectady, NY, each for:
Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance, 1st, a class “A” felonyCriminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd, a class “B” felony
Davis was also charged with a vehicle and traffic law violation.
On June 3, 2026, at about 8:30 p.m., troopers stopped a vehicle on Interstate-87 Thruway in Bethlehem for a vehicle and traffic law violation. The driver was identified as Davis, and the passengers as Fields and Welcome. With the assistance of State Police K9 “J”, more than three pounds of a substance, which later field-tested positive for containing cocaine was discovered within the vehicle.
All three were arrested and transported to Troop T, SP Albany for processing. Davis, Fields, and Welcome were then arraigned at the Bethlehem Town Court, where they were remanded to the Albany County Correctional Facility without bail.
