EASTON, Pa. – An 81-year-old woman is dead after being trapped under a car in Easton.
Officers responded to the 100 block of Young Street around 10:17 a.m., according to a news release from the Easton Police Department.
“When I woke up this morning to take my dog out I actually saw the fire truck zoom down the street, and I saw three cop cars zoom down the street,” said Jae Wolfe, who lives in the neighborhood.
Crews found the woman, who was suffering from serious injuries, police said. She was taken to an area hospital where she died from the injuries, according to city police.

The woman was injured after becoming trapped under a car while helping a family member who was working on it, city police said.
Police say when firefighters and rescue workers arrived on scene, they freed her from underneath the car.
Neighbors we spoke with are devastated about what happened.
“I truly feel so bad, and this is usually a really calm block,” Wolfe said.
The Easton Police Department, Northampton County Coroner’s Office, and the Northampton County DA’s Office are investigating the incident.
