A 27-year-old Sinking Spring resident was killed in a Reading motor vehicle accident Thursday afternoon, Berks County Coroner Matthew J. Stitzel announced.
The crash was reported at about 1:25 p.m. in the 300 block of South Fourth Street. The victim, whose name was withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene by deputies from the coroner’s office.
An autopsy is scheduled for Friday morning to assist in determining the cause and manner of death, Stitzel said.
The Reading police and fire departments and Matos Towing responded to the scene, and an investigation is ongoing, according to the coroner.
