A Bensalem man faces multiple felony charges for allegedly sexually molesting a 6-year-old child.
Bensalem police received a report earlier this month that a child accused William Hagan, 39, of inappropriately touching him for approximately a year, according to a probable cause affidavit.
The child told police that the conduct occurred mostly when Hagan was in the car with the child to buy gas. He would stop and climb into the back seat and inappropriately touch the child, the affidavit alleged.

On one of those occasions, the child told police that Hagan put their hand on his genitals, the affidavit said. The child also described other times being inappropriately touched by Hagan.
The most recent incident occurred May 12 at a Lukoil station in the 4600 block of Street Road, the affidavit said. Police confirmed that on that day Hagan was alone with the child.
Hagan was arraigned on eight felony charges including two counts of aggravated felony indecent assault of a child and related misdemeanors. He was transferred to Bucks County Correctional Center in lieu of $10-million bail.
His attorney Michael Applebaum, insisted his client, who has known the child since the age of 3, is innocent and suggested that other factors are behind the allegations.
“There is a lot more to this story than is being publicized,” Applebaum added. “We’re anxious to prove his innocence.”
