The McDade Park splash pad will be closed until further notice following a mechanical failure on Saturday morning, Lackawanna County officials announced on the park’s Facebook page.
Efforts are underway to repair one of the pumps and the public will be informed as soon as it is fixed, the post stated.
Meanwhile, Lackawanna County officials are in negotiations with a contractor to complete repairs to McDade Park’s pool, and hope the pool will open during the 2026 swim season once repairs are completed.
