In 2017, the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders introduced an alternate identity that celebrated the rise of Yankees stars that had played with the team. With the likes of Aaron Judge, Gary Sanchez, and Gleyber Torres on the roster, the RailRiders adopted the nickname Baby Bombers for select games that season, a wink and a nod to their parent club’s nickname, the Bronx Bombers.

The RailRiders, Triple-A affiliate of the New York Yankees in the International League, announced that they are bringing the alternate brand back for 2026. The logo features a man-baby with a 5 o’clock shadow holding a baseball bat and wearing a diaper and a Yankees-style top hat.

“As the step before they become the Bronx Bombers, it is a pleasure to watch the next wave of Baby Bombers at PNC Field,” said Shawn Reilly, Scranton/Wilkes-Barre’s Team President & General Manager. “Fans have long loved this identity, and it’s a sight to see it come back.”

The RailRiders will play as the Baby Bombers for Sunday home games in 2026.
