Detroit Tigers pitcher Jack Flaherty is scheduled to suit up for Erie during Tuesday night’s game, bringing some added excitement to the ballpark as he continues his return to the major leagues.
The appearance is drawing attention not only from fans eager to watch a big-league arm pitch in Erie, but also from SeaWolves players who will have the opportunity to share a clubhouse with the veteran right-hander.
Rehab assignments by Tigers players in Erie have been rare in recent years. The last Detroit player to make a rehabilitation stop with the SeaWolves came nearly a decade ago in 2016.
