Pennsylvania State Police from the Erie Patrol Unit filed charges against two Erie residents after responding to what was initially reported as a kidnapping incident that was later determined that there had not been a kidnapping.
Troopers were dispatched at approximately 7:24 a.m. on June 10, 2026, to the area of 7865 Perry Highway in Summit Township, Erie County following a reported kidnapping.
The investigation, led by Trooper A. Weatherton, revealed that no kidnapping had actually taken place. Instead, authorities developed probable cause during the course of the investigation, resulting in criminal charges.
The individuals involved were identified as Noalia Waite, 19 and Ali Al Mohammad, 29.
Both individuals have been charged, and the case has been filed through the appropriate Magisterial District Court.
Pennsylvania State Police have not released additional details regarding the circumstances that led to the false report or the specific charges filed.
