GEORGETOWN COUNTY, S.C. (WPDE) — Georgetown County deputies made a second arrest after a high-speed chase Tuesday.

Sheriff Carter says deputies arrested Charles Murphy of Scranton on hindering and driving under suspension charges.

Murphy fled a traffic stop yesterday afternoon, sparking a chase and an intensive search in the area of Pringle Ferry Landing, according to the Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office. During the search, the sheriff’s office described Murphy as dangerous and said he was wanted on multiple warrants out of Florence County.

Murphy was found by a property owner who came to check a secondary residence on Pringle Ferry Road.

He is being held at the Georgetown County Detention Center pending extradition.
