Paul C. Asman
OBITUARY
Paul C. Asman, 86, a resident of the Gardens of Green Ridge, and formerly of Throop, died Wednesday evening following an illness. He was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, the former Carole Rae Davis on August 3, 2024.
Born May 18, 1940 in Scranton, he was the son of the late August and Augusta (Savage) Asman.
Paul was a Navy veteran serving active duty from 1962 until 1965. He was a graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School and Keystone College, and prior to his retirement was employed in Sales and Marketing. He received a Bachelor’s degree in Business from the University of Scranton. Paul was a longtime active member of the Jackson Street Baptist Church, serving as Chairman of the Board and as church deacon. He was formerly a Scout Leader through the Jackson Street Baptist Church.
The family wishes to extend their deepest gratitude to the staff at the Gardens of Green Ridge for their compassionate care and support to Paul and his family.
Surviving are his children Aimee R. Barnes, and husband Brian of Moscow, Jamie Asman and wife Bonnie of Dallas, Paul J. Asman and wife Susan Druckenbrod of Cherry Hill, NJ, and Ryan Asman and wife Heidi of Throop; (5) grandchildren: Alexandra Asman, Spencer Asman, Ethan Barnes, Emma Barnes, Julian Asman; his siter Shirley Lepthien of Scranton; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Paul was preceded in death by his brother August Asman.
Services will be conducted Monday June 29, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. in the Jackson Street Baptist Church 1206 Jackson Street Scranton, PA with Rev. Dr. Elliott Cook, pastor, as officiating clergy.
Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. at the church.
Military honors will follow the services.
Interment and rite of committal will be conducted privately at Fairview Memorial Park.
