HEMPFIELD TOWNSHIP, ED DIORIO, PITTSBURGH’S ACTION NEWS FOUR. THANK YOU. ED SCHWEBEL’S BAKERY WILL CLOSE NEXT MONTH. AND NOW COMES WORD. THE LOCAL SCHWEBEL’S OUTLETS WILL BE SHUT DOWN AS WELL. ONE OUTLET AND STORE IS LOCATED IN THE OLYMPIC. THE OLYMPIA SHOPPING CENTER IN MCKEESPORT, THE OTHER ONE IN BRIDGEVILLE. ROUGHLY TWO DOZEN EMPLOYEES THERE WILL LOSE THEIR JOBS AT EACH LOCATION, IS SHUTTING DOWN AFTER 120 YEARS IN BUSINESS.

Schwebel Baking Company is closing, and that means the local Schwebel’s outlets will also be shut down.
One Schwebel’s Bakery Outlet is located at the Olympia Shopping Center in McKeesport. The other is in Bridgeville.
