Aldan
Aldan will hold its annual Independence Day Parade and festivities from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, July 4.
The parade will go east on Providence Road to Elm Avenue, then south on Elm to Magnolia Avenue, followed by west on Magnolia to Sycamore Avenue, north on Sycamore to the ballfields at James R. Hopely Athletic Center.
That’s where there will be a flag raising by Aldan Boy Scout Troop 2, races for children organized by the Aldan Youth Club, and a baby parade.
Ice cream and flag distribution will take place at the John P. McBlain Community Center, 210 Shisler Ave., while supplies last. For times and other details about the day, go to www.aldan4thofjuly.com.
Aston Township
Aston Township will kick off its Fourth of July fun on Saturday, July 4, at 5 p.m. at the Aston Community Center, 3270 Concord Road.
The event will feature food trucks and live music by The Cherry Lane Band from 7 to 9 p.m. in the new amphitheater located in the rear of the Community Center.
The Aston fireworks display is set for dusk on July 4 at Sun Valley High School, 2881 Pancoast Ave. Attendees should bring a chair or blanket.
Bethel Township
Bethel Township Recreation Board will host its annual fireworks display at 8:30 p.m. Friday, July 3 at Bethel Springs Elementary School, 3280 Foulk Road, Garnet Valley.
Attendees should bring blankets or chairs for seating.
Clifton Heights
The Clifton Heights Independence Day festivities will commence on Friday evening, July 3 at 5 p.m. in the borough hall parking lot, 30 S. Springfield Road, and feature games, food, and entertainment.
On Saturday, July 4, the annual Clifton Heights Fourth of July Parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Church Street and Baltimore Pike.
Awards will be given for best bikes, strollers, wagons, mini bikes, floats, antique cars and more. After the parade, residents are welcome to stick around and enjoy a large flea market, music, games, a basketball truck and face painting.

Collingdale
Collingdale will celebrate the America’s 250th birthday on Saturday, July 4, with its annual patriotic parade that will include veteran bike groups, string bands, floats, decorated bikes and wagons, local officials and more.
The parade will begin at 8:30 a.m. in front of Church of Nazarene Church on MacDade Boulevard, traveling MacDade to Woodlawn Avenue onto Bartram Avenue, then right on Clifton Avenue to Hibberd Avenue and to Collingdale Park.
At 10:30 a.m., a community picnic will take place at the park, 501 Jackson Ave., with music from a DJ and family fun all day long.
There will be a flag raising, then fun activities, water slides, moon bounce, various games, contests and more. At 11 a.m., free hot dogs, water ice and pretzels will be available as well as complimentary keepsake photos.
Fireworks will be held at Collingdale Park on Friday, July 10 at dusk. Attendees should bring their own blankets and chairs for seating.
Folcroft
Residents will meet across from the clock tower at 1725 Delmar Drive, Folcroft, 11:30 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 4, to watch the raising of the official America 250 Flag at noon.
The Bell Tower will ring and the tower lights will be emblazoned with red, white and blue. All attendees will have little bells to ring in unison at noon.
Lansdowne
The Lansdowne Fourth of July Float Parade and Field Day on Saturday, July 4, will kick off with the parade at 9 a.m. on East Greenwood Avenue.
The parade will proceed to Lansdowne Avenue turning onto Wycombe Avenue and right onto Stewart Avenue and back to Lansdowne Avenue.
The parade will continue north up Lansdowne, making a right onto Essex Avenue to the PennWood High School football field.
At 10 a.m., there will be a short ceremony with speakers at Penn Wood High Football Stadium, 100 Green Ave., followed by a children’s field day at 11 a.m., hosted by the borough, the borough Parks and Recreation Department, and the Lansdowne Boys and Girls Club. Marple and Newtown townships
The Marple-Newtown Fourth of July Parade is slated for 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 4, beginning at St. Albans Circle in Newtown Square. The parade will proceed east on West Chester Pike, ending at the Broomall Firehouse on Malin Road.
The parade will feature musical groups from all over, classic and antique cars, first responders, decorated bikes and strollers, community groups, floats, marchers, veterans and much more. This is Delaware County’s largest Fourth of July Parade.
The Broomall Rotary’s Firecracker 5K Run event will precede the parade. For more information about the Run or the Parade, go to www.marplenewtownparade.com.
Media
The Media Recreation Board will host a Fourth of July Celebration from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, July 4 at Barrall Community Park and Scott-Lowrie Playground, East State Street in the borough.
The event will feature yard games, live music, pretzels and water ice for all ages. Water slides, face painting, wagon train rides, a fun run, touch-a-truck and a bike decorating contest will be available for children.

Norwood
The Norwood Citizens’ Fourth of July Committee has finalized plans for its America’s 250th Independence Day celebration, to be held on Saturday, July 4.
This year’s parade will feature special guest the Romford Drum and Trumpet Corps all the way from Romford, England.
Also marching will be the Woodland String Band, the award winning Reading Buccaneers Drum and Bugle Corps, Amazing Cobras from Harlem, New York, Mad Beatz Drumlin sponsored by the Mann Music Center in Philadelphia and the Interboro High School Marching Band. The parade will also include Civil War re-enactors, cars, motorcycles and firetrucks.
Floats, decorated bikes and patriotic costumes are welcome to join the parade at the Norwood Public Library at 8:30 a.m. The children who are lined up at the library will receive a special gift. As always, the committee will hand out flags prior to the parade along the parade route.
The parade will make a left out of the Interboro High School parking lot onto Amosland Road, right on Trites Avenue, right onto Ridley Avenue, right onto Sylvan Avenue, left on Amosland Road, left on Welcome Avenue, right on Winona Avenue. The parade will end at Kugler Park for the celebration.
There will be a free photo booth in the park along with a free carnival ride, Tubs of Fun. Bubbletopia will perform and the train for children will run from 10 a.m. to noon.

The first place home will receive a $100 prize, second $75 and third $50. The winning homes will also receive signs. Winners will be announced on the “Norwood Citizens Fourth of July Association” Facebook and Instagram pages.
Norwood’s fireworks display will be held Friday, July 3 at Norwood Athletic Complex in the Lower Park, 270 E. Amosland Road, Norwood. The pre-show activities begin at 7 p.m. with music, and the fireworks will go off at dusk. The rain date will be Monday, July 6.

Prospect Park
Prospect Park will kick off its annual Independence Day Parade and activities at 8:30 a.m. Saturday, July 4. After the parade, families can stick around to enjoy food, music, entertainment, special guests and other fun.
Residents are encouraged to build a float and enter the parade’s float competition. The best float wins $250 cash. For information, contact the borough at 610-532-1007.
Radnor Township
The Garrett Hill-Rosemont Fourth of July Parade is a community Independence Day tradition in Radnor Township featuring local organizations, first responders, decorated bikes and floats, music, and family-friendly festivities in Garrett Hill and Clem Macrone Park. This year, the event will be held Saturday, July 4.
Registration for bikes and floats beings at 10 a.m., with judging at 10:30 a.m.
As part of America250, the parade celebrates community pride, local history, and patriotism while bringing together residents of all ages for a hometown Fourth of July celebration. The parade kicks off at Garrett Avenue and Conestoga Road at 10:45 a.m., following a short opening ceremony.
Roads close prior to parade so guests should plan to arrive early.

Ridley Park
Ridley Park will have its annual patriotic parade on Saturday, July 4 from 8 to 10 a.m., starting at the playground at 105 E. Ward St., followed by games, entertainment, food trucks and vendors down at Ridley Lake.
The special day will be capped off with its popular fireworks display at Ridley Park Lake, beginning at dusk.
Rose Valley
The annual Rose Valley 4th of July Parade will be held Saturday, July 4 from 2 to 3 p.m., beginning at the Moylan Rose Valley Train Station, 4 Manchester Road.
The parade will proceed along Woodward Road to Pool Lane to Rose Valley Swimming Pool. There, a flag raising ceremony will be held.

Rutledge
The Rutledge Independence Day Parade to celebrate America’s 250th will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Rutledge Borough Hall, 212 Unity Terrace, and end at Triangle Park.
After that, there will be festivities, games and food available to purchase.
Sharon Hill
Sharon Hill will kick off its America 250 Fourth of July Parade at noon Saturday, July 4, beginning on Garvin Boulevard.
Prizes for best-decorated parade bikes will be awarded, followed by music, games, and fun attractions after the parade at Ramblers Football Field, 300 Calcon Hook Road.
A fireworks display will be held 9 p.m. at Academy Park High School. Viewing spots are available in the school parking lots.

Springfield Township
The 2026 Springfield 4th of July Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 4, featuring a traditional parade and a post-parade celebration to mark the USA’s 250th anniversary.
The parade will begins at 9 a.m. on Rolling Road in front of Springfield High School, and turns onto Leamy Avenue, Powell Road, to Saxer Avenue, Springfield Road, and concludes about 10 a.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
The post-parade celebration at the park will feature food and drinks, including Kona Ice and soft pretzels, and kids’ activities, including pony rides, bounce house and balloon twister. The bike parade winners will be announced at the park.

Swarthmore
The fun kicks off in Swarthmore on Saturday, July 4, with the Swarthmore Recreation Association’s Great Bike Race.
At 8:15 a.m., children will assemble at Princeton and Park avenues. Divided by age groups, ages 4 to 13 and above, participants will race down Park Avenue toward the grandstand. Helmets are required.
The Swarthmore Lions Club will host a Children’s Parade.
Starting at 9:45 a.m. at Park and Dartmouth avenues, this hometown parade features themed sections.
It progresses sequentially with pets, followed by decorated tricycles, decorated bicycles, and concludes with community floats and baby carriages. Nonprofit and community groups also march throughout the procession.
Following the parade, there will be a presentation of community awards and a demonstration by the Swarthmore Fire and Protective Association.
At 12:45 p.m., residents and guests can head to Umoja Park, Yale and Rutgers avenues, for the Fire Company Water Fight to help the community cool off.
Guests can also gather at 12:30 p.m. at Little Crum Creek Park on Cresson Lane for the annual horseshoe tournament.

Upper Chichester Township
Upper Chichester Township has announced its fireworks and food trucks event will begin at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, July 5 at Upper Chichester Township Municipal Complex, 8500 Furey Road.
Guests should bring blankets or chairs for seating to the free community event. The fireworks will begin at dusk.
Upper Darby Township
Upper Darby Township will host its America 250 Independence Day Celebration, featuring live music, carnival games, food trucks, and a spectacular fireworks display to conclude the evening.
The event will be held Thursday, July 2 from 7 to 10 p.m. at Monsignor Bonner & Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School in Drexel Hill.
Residents and visitors are invited to join family, friends, and neighbors for an evening of entertainment and patriotic celebration as Upper Darby commemorates America’s 250th anniversary.
