YORK COUNTY, Pa. (WHTM) — An employee at a central Pennsylvania nail salon was charged after police said he inappropriately touched a boy inside the business last week.
Duc Nguyen, 20, allegedly “grabbed and pinched,” and also “smacked and grabbed” the four-year-old boy inappropriately in his groin area at the Happy Nails salon along Wilson Avenue in Penn Township, York County, according to charging documents.
The boy’s mother questioned Nguyen, who responded with a blank stare before saying he was sorry, according to police. She then got up and left with her son.
There were other patrons inside the salon at the time, police said.

Charging documents noted that Nguyen’s immigration status could not be verified.
A felony charge of unlawful contact, as well as four misdemeanor charges of indecent assault of a person less than 13 years of age, simple assault, indecent assault without the consent of another person and disorderly conduct, were filed against Nguyen, court records show. he also faces a summary charge of harassment.

Nguyen is currently in York County Prison with his bail denied. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for August 13.
