Thomas R. Aiello, Sr.
OBITUARY
Thomas R. Aiello, Sr. 78, of North Front St., Milton passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on June 26, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville. He was a true fighter in his battle with cancer. Born in Scranton on July 11, 1947, he was the son of the late Albert and Dorothy (Olenchak) Aiello. On August 13, 1977, he married the love of his life, the former Delores A. Lanzo who survives.
Tom was a 1965 graduate of West Scranton High School and earned a bachelor’s degree from Wilkes University. He proudly served his country in both the Air Force and the Navy during the Vietnam War. He was member of the D.A.V. and received the Honor of Valor. Tom worked as a dispatcher for Roadway Express for over 25 years. He was a member of St. Joseph’s Church of Milton. In his free time, Tom enjoyed playing Trivia, solving crossword puzzles, visiting History museums, traveling, and watching movies. A loyal Penn State fan who found his greatest joy in spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He was their biggest supporter and treasured every opportunity to watch them participate in their many activities.
He is survived by his wife, Delores; a son, Anthony Aiello and girlfriend, Amanda Marshall of Milton; two daughters, Danielle Aiello and fianc Terry Chubb, Jr of Milton, and Jennifer Aiello and fianc Fran Johnson of Milton; a brother, John Aiello of Scranton; and grandchildren, Dylan Johnson, Gabrielle Chubb, Kaia, Milania, and Allegra Aiello, Nicholas Chubb and Taryn Dugan.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents, and a son, Thomas R. Aiello, Jr.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6-8 p.m. on Tuesday June 30 at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 Front Street Milton, PA. A funeral mass will be held at 11 a.m. On Wednesday July 1 at St. Joseph Church, 109 Broadway St., Milton, with the Rev. Dennis Dalessandro officiating. Private burial will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
