WILKES-BARRE — A Pittston man was granted time served in prison and sentenced to probation for possessing child sexual abuse materials.
Nathaniel James Remsky, 24, address listed as Johnson Street, was arrested by detectives with the Luzerne County District Attorney’s Office in June 2025, after investigating multiple Cyber tips generated by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The Cyber tips were traced to a phone number registered to Remsky, according to court records.
Included in the Cyber tips were graphic descriptions of videos involving children engaged in sex acts, court records say.
Court records say detectives served a search warrant at Remsky’s residence on April 9, 2025, when he admitted to viewing pornography but denied watching anything involving children.
A forensic analysis of Remsky’s cellular phone resulted in 35 images and/or videos of child sexual abuse materials, court records say.
Six days after the search warrant was executed and Remsky’s phone was forensically searched, court records alleged, detectives on April 15, 2025, received two additional Cyber tips of child sexual abuse materials linked to his phone.
Remsky appeared before Luzerne County Court of Common Pleas Judge Joseph F. Sklarosky Jr. to be sentenced on 35 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials. Remsky apologized as his lawyer advocated that he has received counseling, continued full-time employment, worked for his family’s business and cares for his grandparents.
Sklarosky asked Remsky what his grandparents think of him possessing child sexual abuse materials.
The judge sentenced Remsky to three-to-24 months in prison on 25 counts of possession of child sexual abuse materials but was immediately paroled when given credit for 128 days time served at the county correctional facility.
Remsky was further sentenced to seven years probation on 10 counts of possession of child sexual abuse images, and is required to register his address for 15 years as a sex offender under the state’s Sexual Offender Registration and Notification Act.
