One man is dead after a boat began taking on water just miles from Erie Bluffs State Park.
The incident happened shortly before 8 a.m. June 30, a few miles offshore.
Five men were on board when the vessel started filling with water. Four made it safely to the surface, but David Rodgers, 63, of Chicora, Butler County, did not.
He was later found and pronounced dead around 9:10 a.m. at UPMC Hamot.
Erie County Coroner Lyell Cook ruled the death accidental, caused by drowning.
